Abstract
PURPOE: To evaluate the effectivene of a protective heet in reducing eye train caued by unneceary light reflection on portable liquid crytal diplay panel while playing Game Boy (Nintendo, Kyoto, Japan).
DEIGN: Nonrandomized clinical trial.
METHOD: The blink rate of 24 normal volunteer were meaured under relaxed condition while viewing a portable liquid crytal diplay panel and playing Game Boy with and without the protective heet of polyethylene terephthalate with antiglare coating for a total of 10 minute each.
REULT: The reult howed a dramatic increae (from 5.6 ± 3 to 9.1 ± 4.9 [P < .0001]) in blink/minute with ue of the protective heet.
CONCLUION: The protective heet ha hown the poibility of increaing the blink rate by making the creen eaier to ee.
