Bilateral panuveiti in a child with hypohidrotic ectodermal dyplaia

PURPOE: To report a cae of bilateral panuveiti in a patient with hypohidrotic ectodermal dyplaia. DEIGN: Interventional cae report. METHOD: A 6-year-old African-American boy with hypohidrotic ectodermal dyplaia preented with pain, photophobia, and decreaed viion in both eye. REULT: Finding included evere bilateral panuveiti with optic dik edema, macular epiretinal membrane, peripheral retinal vaculiti, and retiniti. All other known caue of panuveiti were explored and ruled out. CONCLUION: The abnormal development of tiue of ectodermal origin evident in hypohidrotic ectodermal dyplaia may include a predipoition to panuveiti.
