PURPOE: To decribe a cae of pontaneou reolution of bilateral tage 1 macular hole documented uing optical coherence tomography. DEIGN: Obervational cae report. METHOD: A patient preented with blurring and ditortion in the right eye. Optical coherence tomography howed a tage 1 macular hole manifeted a a foveal peudocyt. The left eye appeared normal. REULT: On 6-month follow-up, ymptom had reolved in the right eye but had developed in the left eye. Optical coherence tomography revealed normal anatomy in the right eye with a foveal peudocyt in the left eye. At 10 month, the patient wa aymptomatic and had normal foveal anatomy in both eye on optical coherence tomography. CONCLUION: tage 1 macular hole may appear a foveal peudocyt on optical coherence tomography. In uch cae, optical coherence tomography can provide definitive diagnotic information when clinical examination i equivocal. The obervation and pontaneou reolution of bilateral tage 1 hole documented by optical coherence tomography are unique and intereting event of which a MEDLINE earch found no previou report.
