Abstract :
PURPOE: To report a cae of Decemet membrane detachment after equential argon-neodymium (Nd):yttrium-aluminum-garnet (YAG) laer peripheral iridotomy. DEIGN: Interventional cae report. METHOD: A 72-year-old Chinee man preented with acute primary angle-cloure in the left eye. In the fellow right eye, a localized Decemet membrane detachment developed after prophylactic equential argon-Nd:YAG laer peripheral iridotomy. Ultraound biomicrocopy picture were taken. REULT: The Decemet membrane detachment reattached gradually without intervention. The cornea remained clear and the viion wa unchanged. CONCLUION: In equential argon-Nd:YAG laer peripheral iridotomy, the hock wave formed during photodiruption may produce linear crack at the level of Decemet membrane, reulting in detachment.
