BB embolu cauing monocular blindne in a 9-year-old boy

PURPOE: To report a cae of monocular blindne reulting from intravacular bullet migration. DEIGN: Obervational cae report. METHOD: A 9-year-old boy preented to the emergency room with a penetrating BB gun injury to the chet. REULT: Carotid angiography localized the bullet to the right internal carotid artery. He ubequently uffered blindne in the right eye, a right pupil-involving third nerve paly, left hemiparei, and a probable left homonymou hemianopia. CONCLUION: BB gun injurie may reult in devatating ophthalmologic a well a ytemic conequence due to bullet embolization.
