Morphometric change analyi of the optic nerve head in unilateral dik hemorrhage cae

Purpoe To meaure the change in optic dik morphology after unilateral dik hemorrhage and to compare the change between eye. Deign Obervational cae erie. Method Ten glaucoma patient who had a unilateral dik hemorrhage were enrolled. The baeline meaurement obtained by Heidelberg Retina Tomograph (HRT) were performed on both eye when a dik hemorrhage wa detected, and the econd meaurement were done after an average of 32 ± 19 month. The amount of change and the percent change in the HRT parameter from the baeline meaurement of the hemorrhagic eye were compared with thoe of the contralateral nonhemorrhagic eye. Reult The reduction in the neuroretinal rim area and the decreae in volume were ignificantly greater in the octant with the dik hemorrhage than meaured in the contralateral eye (P = .002, Wilcoxon igned rank tet). Concluion Thi tudy demontrated quantitatively that the progreion of optic dik damage in glaucoma i fater in eye with dik hemorrhage than in eye without dik hemorrhage.
