A novel technique for harveting keratolimbal allograft from corneocleral button

Purpoe To decribe a method for obtaining partial-thickne keratolimbal allograft from corneocleral button to be ued in corneal limbal tem cell tranplantation. Deign Decription of device deign and technique for ue. Method Cyanoacrylate tiue adheive, placed on the poterior ide of a trephinated corneocleral rim, i ued to ecure the allograft to a dipoable acrylic phere that i attached to a cylindrical bae. Reult After fixation of the corneocleral rim to the acrylic phere, keratolimbal allograft harveting i performed a a continuou trip diection with a 65 Beaver blade. Thi technique minimize trauma to the epithelial tem cell, provide excellent tability of the corneocleral rim during harveting, and preerve the central corneal button. Concluion Thi method for obtaining keratolimbal allograft effectively provide tiue tabilization during harveting, minimizing epithelial tem cell trauma and eliminating the need for whole donor globe.
