Abstract :
Purpoe
To report the correlation among Humphrey Field Analyzer 750 (HFA), high-pa reolution perimetry (HRP), and frequency-doubling technology (FDT) perimetry in glaucoma patient and ocular hypertenive patient.
Deign
Cro-ectional tudy.
Method
Eighty-two eye of 82 conecutive patient with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) or ocular hypertenion were included in thi tudy. One eye of each patient wa randomly elected for data analyi. Viual field were aeed by HFA, HRP, and FDT perimetry. HRP global deviation (HRP-GD), HRP local deviation (HRP-LD), FDT-mean deviation (FDT-MD), and FDT-pattern tandard deviation (FDT-PD) were conidered for the analyi. Clinical agreement between HRP and FDT wa evaluated. All data were analyzed by Pearon r coefficient when the ditribution of the data wa normal and by pearman coefficient correlation when the ditribution of the data wa not normal. A P < .05 wa conidered tatitically ignificant.
Reult
Fifty-two eye (52 patient) were claified a glaucoma and 30 eye (30 patient) a ocular hypertenion. In the entire group, a ignificant (P > .001) correlation wa found between the HFA indice and thoe of either HRP or FDT. A ignificant (P < .001) correlation wa found between HRP-GD and FDT-MD a well a between HRP-LD and FDT-PD. In 14% of the glaucomatou patient and in 33% of the ubject with ocular hypertenion, FDT and HRP howed different clinical feature.
Concluion
Our data ugget that FDT and HRP are ueful for detection of early glaucomatou viual field damage.
