Modified technique to create retinal detachment during macular tranlocation urgery

Purpoe To report a modified technique for creating total retinal detachment during macular tranlocation urgery with a 360-degree retinotomy. Deign Interventional cae erie. Method After vitrectomy, B Plu (Alcon, Fort Worth, TX, UA) wa injected into the ubretinal pace with a 39-gauge needle to create a mall retinal detachment. The tip of a 20-gauge ilicone-tipped needle wa then placed in the hole created by the needle, and B Plu wa injected ubretinally at a high flow rate. Reult In 10 eye (10 patient), we created one iatrogenic retinal hole in even eye and two hole in three eye. The time needed to create total retinal detachment wa decreaed. Concluion Our technique eem to make creation of a total retinal detachment eaier compared with the previou tandard procedure and may reduce potoperative complication following macular tranlocation urgery with a 360-degree retinotomy.
