Reolution of diabetic cytoid macular edema aociated with pontaneou vitreofoveal eparation

Purpoe To report pontaneou reolution of diabetic cytoid macular edema (CME) aociated with pontaneou vitreofoveal eparation. Deign Interventional cae erie. Method Optical coherence tomography (OCT) wa performed on three eye of three diabetic patient with CME before and after vitreofoveal eparation. Reult In all three eye, OCT howed cytic change at the fovea with a lightly detached poterior hyaloid, which remained attached to the optic dik and the fovea. After pontaneou eparation of the hyaloid at the fovea, there wa reolution of the cytic cavitie and retoration of the foveal depreion. Concluion In ome eye of diabetic patient, CME i caued by a vitreou traction. Reolution of CME may occur after pontaneou vitreofoveal eparation.
