Abstract
Purpoe
To decribe two patient who developed cleral thinning a a late complication of cleral tunnel inciion for cataract extraction.
Deign
Obervational cae report and interventional cae report.
Method
A 75-year-old man had an aymptomatic gray-brown ubconjunctival nodule in the location of the healed cleral tunnel inciion for cataract urgery. A 62-year-old man had a biopy of a brown conjunctival nodule at the ite of a cleral tunnel inciion for cataract urgery.
Reult
The 75-year-old patient with prolaped uveal tiue wa followed up for 4 year without change in the wound defect. The 62-year-old patient had a biopy becaue the expoed ciliary body mimicked a melanoma.
Concluion
cleral defect with herniated uveal tiue a a late equela of cleral tunnel inciion for cataract urgery hould be differentiated from melanoma and can be afely oberved for year when covered by conjunctiva.
