Tonic pupil and arcoidoi

Purpoe To preent a cae of tonic pupil aociated with enhancement in the region of the ciliary ganglion on magnetic reonance imaging in a patient with arcoidoi. Deign Obervational cae report. Method A 52-year-old woman with arcoidoi had a right pupil exhibiting ectoral paly to light and light-near diociation. Reult Topical adminitration of 0.1% pilocarpine demontrated uperenitivity of the right pupillary phincter mucle. Magnetic reonance imaging (MRI) with contrat revealed enhancement in the region of the right ciliary ganglion. Concluion Tonic pupil may be a manifetation of arcoidoi, and in uch cae, MRI may how enhancement at the level of the ciliary ganglion. arcoidoi hould be included in the differential diagnoi of tonic pupil.
