Purpoe To demontrate retinal arterial wall plaque (RAWP) in patient with uac yndrome, a diorder that conit of the triad of branch retinal artery occluion, encephalopathy, and hearing lo. The clinician may miinterpret thee RAWP a emboli. Deign Obervational cae erie. Method Four patient (one man and three women, aged 21–38 year) were examined and followed. Reult Four patient with uac yndrome had RAWP in aociation with branch retinal artery occluion. They were preent in ix of eight eye. The plaque were yellow to yellow-white and located uually away from retinal bifurcation. Retinal arterial wall plaque occur at the midarteriolar egment, wherea Hollenhort plaque occur at vacular bifurcation. Four of ix eye had reolution of the plaque. Concluion Retinal arterial wall plaque may occur with branch retinal artery occluion in uac yndrome. Thi finding hould help the clinician who i truggling to make a diagnoi in a patient with an enigmatic encephalopathy and/or hearing lo. Thee plaque may reolve over time.
