Purpoe Development of a new elf-retaining acrylic contact len for vitreou urgery. Deign A tandard −60 diopter plano concave len with the radiu of curvature 6.7 mm (le than the cornea curvature) wa modified with addition of four foot plate to facilitate tability and centration. Method A drop of vicoelatic material placed between len and cornea induce negative uction and help retain the len in poition. Concluion Thi pecially deigned len eliminate the need for uturing on the clera or dependence on the aitant to provide placement. It provide a table well-centered view of the fundu during vitreou urgery.
