Abstract
Purpoe
To report an increaed functional viual acuity, which wa recently reported a a imulation of viual function of daily act of gazing, in dry eye patient after punctal occluion.
Deign
Propective comparative interventional tudy.
Method
We meaured ordinary bet-corrected viual acuity and functional viual acuity in eight eye of eight dry eye patient after punctal occluion, and compared the reult with thoe of 22 eye of 22 dry eye patient without punctal occluion.
Reult
Functional viual acuity in dry eye patient after punctal occluion wa 0.962 in decimal notation, which wa ignificantly higher than that of patient without punctal occluion, 0.283 (P < .0001).
Concluion
Thi tudy how that punctal occluion can improve the impaired functional viual acuity of dry eye patient.
