Purpoe To report a camera artifact that mak portion of pigmented leion while preerving overlying retinal detail. Deign Cae report. Method Cae collected from the author’ clinical practice were identified during review of fundu photo. An attempt wa made to reproduce the artifact in a normal eye. Reult Three cae were identified that demontrated thi artifact. Concluion Off-axi color photo can produce a reddih artifact that may blend imperceptibly with the urrounding retinal appearance and filter viualization of melanocytic pigment. Thi can mak a portion of a pigmented leion and later may create a fale impreion of a larger leion.
