Purpoe To preent a cae of occult macular dytrophy accompanying normal-tenion glaucoma. Deign Obervational cae report. Method Viual function and ophthalmocopic and electroretinographic finding in a 56-year-old man uffering from gradually progreive photophobia and viual dyfunction were followed up over 4 year. Reult Bet-corrected viual acuity wa below 20/200, and intraocular preure remained in the low teen in both eye. A wedge-haped viual field defect in the right eye, correponding to the enlarged dik cupping, and a relative central cotoma in the left were detected. Ophthalmocopy and fluorecein angiography detected no apparent abnormality at the macular region in either eye. everely attenuated multifocal electroretinographic repone were recorded from only the central area, with normal full-field repone. Concluion Clinician mut look for additional pathologic condition in patient with normal-tenion glaucoma who have unexplained central viual dyfunction
