Reult Retinal tear developed in two patient after tranpupillary thermotherapy for choroidal melanoma. In one patient a econdary rhegmatogenou retinal detachment developed. Concluion Tranpupillary thermotherapy can reult in vitreou traction on the retina over the choroidal tumor, which can lead to a retinal tear and to retinal detachment. Patient hould be warned about thi poibility and advied to be examined hould photopia or new floater develop after treatment.
