Intermediate uveiti in childhood preceding the diagnoi of multiple cleroi: a 13-year follow-up

Purpoe An aociation between multiple cleroi during childhood and uveiti i exceptionally rare. Thi i a report of a female patient who preented at the age of 8 year with bilateral intermediate uveiti and whoe final diagnoi of multiple cleroi wa made at age 21 year. Deign Cae report. Method Retropective chart review of a 13-year follow-up hitory. Reult Over 10 year our patient wa treated ytemically and underwent bilateral vitrectomy to reduce permanent ide effect. Owing to good viual function and low inflammatory ign, ytemic therapy wa topped. Multiple cleroi wa diagnoed at the age of 21, after a 13-year hitory of uveiti and after 3 year without medication. Concluion In the contellation of uveiti in childhood and later diagnoi of multiple cleroi, the outlined therapy provided good functional reult. Moreover, it may have delayed the manifetation of the underlying dieae for 13 year.
