Eye finding of diffue unilateral ubacute neuroretiniti and multiple choroidal infiltrate aociated with neural larva migran due to bayliacari procyoni

Purpoe To report childhood infection with Bayliacari procyoni (raccoon round worm) manifeting a diffue unilateral ubacute neuroretiniti (DUN) and choroidal infiltrate in aociation with neurologic dieae (neural larva migran). Method Obervational cae erie, one with eye manifetation of DUN, the other with choroidal infiltrate, both with evere neurologic degeneration. Reult Indirect immunofluorecence aay on erum and cerebropinal fluid were poitive for B. procyoni in one and erially poitive and increaing in the other. Both children had a hitory of pica and raccoon expoure. Concluion Bayliacari procyoni infection i aociated with two cae of evere neurologic degeneration with ocular leion: DUN and choroidal infiltrate. Although B. procyoni i known to caue DUN, thee cae indicate that concomitant ocular migration may accompany neural larva migran. Thee are the third and forth cae in the U literature of neural larva migran due to B. procyoni with eye finding.
