Abstract :
Purpoe
To evaluate the peritence of indocyanine green (ICG) autofluorecence after ICG-aited internal limiting membrane peeling for macular hole urgery.
Deign
Interventional cae erie.
Method
Retropective intitutional tudy. Four eye of four patient who underwent par plana vitrectomy with ICG-aited internal limiting membrane peeling for macular hole repair were imaged for ICG autofluorecence at 795 nm with a canning laer ophthalmocope. The main outcome meaure wa peritence of ICG autofluorecence.
Reult
All four patient demontrated peritent ICG fluorecence in the central macula up to 8 month poturgery.
Concluion
Peritent ICG ignal wa noted in the macula month after vitrectomy for macular hole urgery. The peritence of ICG autofluorecence could be reponible for delayed photochemical damage to the retinal pigment epithelium. Further tudie mut quantify the rik of retinal pigment epithelium injury when ICG-aited internal limiting membrane peeling i ued in macular hole urgery
