Optical coherence tomographic and angiographic finding of a cae with ubretinal toxocara granuloma

Purpoe To tudy a cae with a ubretinal Toxocara granuloma. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A patient with a exudative macular leion, diagnoed a ocular toxocariai, wa examined with optical coherence tomography (OCT) and angiography before and after ytemic corticoteroid and anthelminthic therapy. Reult In OCT image, the macular granuloma initially appeared a a highly reflective ma protruding above the retinal pigment epithelium and howed dye leakage by angiography. Pottherapy, the leion wa no longer exudative, wa le elevated, and wa covered by the retinal pigment epithelium. There wa reticular hyperfluorecence urrounded by a hypofluorecent rim in the angiogram. Concluion ubretinal Toxocara granuloma may have a preentation imilar to idiopathic choroidal neovacularization (CNV) and hould be included in the differential diagnoi of the idiopathic CNV.
