Reult Two patient developed acute retinal necroi yndrome following epidural corticoteroid injection for back pain. Referral wa delayed in one patient. One patient developed bilateral econdary rhegmatogenou retinal detachment, and both developed econdary macular pucker. Concluion Acute retinal necroi can follow epidural corticoteroid injection. Patient hould be warned about thi poibility and advied to report hould photopia, photoenitivity, blurred viion, or new floater develop after treatment. Orthopedit hould be aware of the complication and promptly refer patient with ymptom for dilated fundu examination by an ophthalmologit.
