Abstract :
Purpoe To decribe the long-term clinical coure in children with a traumatic macular hole after vitrectomy with platelet concentrate. Deign Interventional cae erie. Method Four pediatric patient with a mean age of 13.2 year (range, 10–15 year) underwent par plana vitrectomy with platelet concentrate, internal limiting membrane peeling, and F6 ga tamponade for tage 3 traumatic macular hole repair. Reult Primary cloure wa achieved by a ingle intervention in all patient with a marked viual improvement of three to even line after urgery. The urgically achieved viual improvement remained table and no viion-threatening complication occurred during the mean follow up of 35.2 month (range, 27–51 month). Concluion We regard par plana vitrectomy with platelet concentrate and F6 ga intillation a afe and effective and, therefore, a the therapy of choice for traumatic macular hole particularly in children after a period of obervation no longer than 3 to 4 month.
