Peritent ubretinal indocyanine green induce retinal pigment epithelium atrophy

Purpoe To decribe a cae of a patient with macular hole with ubretinal indocyanine green (ICG) during vitrectomy. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 66-year-old woman with macular hole underwent a vitrectomy with ICG. Reult After application of ICG into the vitreou, ICG wa introduced in the ubretinal pace. Indocyanine green wa found to be preent for more than 6 month. Retinal pigment epithelium atrophy appeared at the ite of the leion. Concluion Although ICG may be a ueful tool for ditinguihing the internal limiting membrane and other tiue careful application i required to prevent ide effect.
