Purpoe To report a cae of acceory lateral rectu mucle in a patient with congenital third-nerve paly. Deign Obervational cae report. Method An 18-year-old boy with left exodeviation, ptoi, pupil dilation, and limited adduction, upraduction, and infraduction of hi left eye. Left lateral rectu mucle receion and medial rectu mucle reection were done. An orbital computed tomographic (CT) can wa obtained. Reult Intraoperatively, an acceory mucle wa found under the lateral rectu mucle. Potoperatively, the orbital CT can howed acceory lateral rectu mucle located in the medial ide of the lateral rectu mucle. Concluion Acceory lateral rectu mucle wa demontrated in a patient with congenital third-nerve paly uing lateral rectu mucle urgery and an orbital CT can.
