Autoimmune optic neuropathy with anticardiolipin antibody mimicking multiple cleroi in a child

Purpoe To demontrate that autoimmune optic neuropathy (AON) may occur in the pediatric population. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 4-year-old developed four epiode of bilateral optic neuriti with mild concurrent weakne, ataxia, or dizzine; one epiode of unilateral optic neuriti; and one epiode of weakne over a period of 4 year. Reult Autoimmune optic neuropathy wa diagnoed becaue of the preence of anticardiolipin antibody and an abnormal kin biopy with thrombin and immunoreactant depoition. he wa treated with corticoteroid, apirin, and gammaglobulin. Thi diminihed the frequency and intenity of her attack. Concluion Thi cae repreent the diagnoi and treatment of AON in a child.
