Photodynamic therapy with verteporfin in laer-induced choroidal neovacularization

Purpoe To report a cae of laer-induced choroidal neovacularization (CNV) treated with verteporfin photodynamic therapy. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A patient developed CNV in the macular area of the left eye 2 year following grid laer for macular edema econdary to branch retinal vein occluion. Reult The CNV wa controlled with one eion of photodynamic therapy. Leion decreaed in ize, contracting to a maller ubretinal fibrotic car. Viion improved from 20/200 to 20/100, and there wa no recurrence at 2-year follow-up. No complication were encountered. Concluion Laer-induced CNV can be afely and effectively treated by photodynamic therapy.
