Epiretinal membrane formation with internal limiting membrane wrinkling after Nd:YAG laer membranotomy in valalva retinopathy

Purpoe To report the location of premacular hemorrhage in Valalva retinopathy and epiretinal membrane formation with internal limiting membrane (ILM) wrinkling after neodymium;yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd:YAG) laer membranotomy. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 35-year-old man with a maive premacular hemorrhage due to Valalva retinopathy underwent Nd:YAG laer membranotomy. After membranotomy, hi viual acuity improved from 20/200 to 20/25. Ten month later, he developed metamorphopia with viual acuity of 20/30. A emiopacified membrane with radiating triae wa found, and par plana vitrectomy wa performed for membrane removal. Reult Hitologic examination of the membrane howed hemoiderin depoit within macrophage on the retinal ide of the ILM. One year later, the patient wa aymptomatic with viual acuity of 20/20. Concluion To our knowledge, hitopathologic confirmation of the ub-ILM hemorrhage in Valalva retinopathy and epiretinal membrane formation with ILM wrinkling a a complication after Nd:YAG laer membranotomy have not been previouly reported.
