10-year follow-up tudy of econdary trancleral ciliary ulcu fixated poterior chamber intraocular lene

Purpoe To tudy the outcome of trancleral ciliary ulcu fixated poterior chamber intraocular lene (trancleral fixation of PC IOL) at 10 year after urgery. Deign Longitudinal obervational tudy. Method A total of 16 patient (16 eye) who had undergone trancleral fixation of PC IOL were tudied. We evaluate the clinical outcome in each patient at 10 year after the operation. etting The Department of Ophthalmology, Univerity of Tokyo Graduate chool of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan. Reult Viual lo and other complication occurred within 2 year of the operation but not later. Potoperative complication were cytoid macular edema in three eye (18.8%) and age-related macular degeneration in one eye (6.3%). Concluion It i important to carefully oberve and adequately treat patient for 2 year potoperatively.
