Purpoe
To preent four cae of Acanthamoeba keratiti a a complication of orthokeratology.
Deign
Obervational cae report.
Method
Four patient with Acanthamoeba keratiti had hitorie of overnight orthokeratology len wear of 6 month to 2 year.
Reult
Three cae were diagnoed with Acanthamoeba keratiti by corneal craping and one by confocal microcopy examination. The patient were treated with chlorhexidine, metronidazole, and neomycin ulfate, reulting in a rapid reolution of ocular inflammation.
Concluion
Overnight wear of orthokeratology lene may induce Acanthamoeba keratiti.
