Abstract :
Purpoe
To decribe the optical coherence tomographic finding in eight eye of four patient with chronic olar retinopathy. All patient had a hitory of un gazing month to year prior to preentation.
Deign
Retropective cae erie.
Method
Patient were examined uing biomicrocopy performed by two or more experienced vitreoretinal pecialit. All eight eye had optical coherence tomography performed at the time of initial examination.
Reult
All patient had a hitory of un gazing and decreaed viion in both eye. On biomicrocopy, all eye had a mall, irregularly-haped lamellar defect in the foveal center. No poterior vitreou detachment wa preent in any eye. Optical coherence tomography revealed a hyporeflective pace at the level of the outer neuroenory retina and retinal pigment epithelium in all eye.
Concluion
Optical coherence tomography demontrate a characteritic hyporeflective pace in the outer retina in patient with chronic olar retinopathy. Thee finding correlate with the hitopathology of thi condition and may be a ueful clinical tool in confirming it diagnoi.
