Reult A 77-year-old woman utained a evere combined chemical and thermal burn from microwave-heated Vick Vapo-Rub requiring amniotic membrane tranplant, with ubequent development of phacomorphic glaucoma, requiring cataract extraction, and bullou keratopathy, requiring penetrating keratoplaty. Concluion A microwave oven ue become more commonplace, the rik of uperheating liquid become an increaingly ignificant ocular danger. Continued effort to educate the public about afe microwave ue i neceary. Additionally, amniotic membrane tranplantation wa found to be effective in managing a combined chemical and thermal ocular burn.
