  • Abstract
Purpoe To evaluate the creening performance of the 76-uprathrehold (76-THR) viual field tet to detect eye with viual field defect (VFD) a meaured by Humphrey threhold teting in a population-baed etting. Deign Cro-ectional tudy. Method All 88 ubject who agreed to participate in the pilot phae of the Thealoniki Eye tudy were included. Participant underwent a 76-THR viual field tet followed by a 30-full threhold (30-2 FTHR) tet (Humphrey field analyzer). One eye/ubject wa randomly elected and included in the analyi. enitivity and pecificity rate of the 76-THR to detect eye with VFD by the 30 to 2 FTHR tet were calculated. Reult When eye with borderline reult in the 30 to 2 FTHR tet were claified a having a VFD, enitivity rate of the 76-THR to detect eye with VFD by the 30 to 2 FTHR were 85.2%, 77.8%, and 74.1%, wherea pecificity rate were 70%, 78%, and 86%, depending on the cutoff ued for the 76-THR. Concluion The 76-THR tet howed high enitivity and low fale-negative reult at the “at leat one point mied” cutoff level criterion to detect eye with viual field defect by Humphrey threhold teting in a population-baed etting. Thi criterion hould be ued when creening in a population-baed tudy etting. By contrat, the 76-THR would not be the appropriate creening tet in a primary care etting with limited reource.
