Purpoe We preent the firt reported cae of a condition imilar to retinopathy of prematurity in a full-term patient with hypoplatic left heart yndrome. Deign Interventional cae report. Method We decribe the clinical preentation and urgical treatment of a male baby with evere retinopathy and retinal detachment. Reult The clinical coure of thi baby wa imilar to retinopathy of prematurity. The patient had area of avacular retina, ignificant retinal neovacularization, fibrou proliferation, and tractional detachment. One eye had a totally detached retina; the other had functional viion after the retina wa reattached by everal vitreoretinal urgerie, including the ue of intraocular ilicone oil. Concluion Thi cyanotic condition can caue a retinopathy with chronic retinal neovacularization and retinal detachment. Permanent urgical retinal reattachment i difficult in the preence of neovacular activity that lead to intravitreou cicatrization.
