Literia monocytogene–induced endogenou endophthalmiti: bioultraonic finding

Purpoe To report bioultraonic finding in Literia monocytogene–induced endophthalmiti (LMIE) that have not been decribed previouly. Deign Interventional cae report. Method To rule out intraocular tumor, ultraound biomicrocopy wa performed in a patient referred for a 2-day hitory of uveiti with elevated intraocular preure, dark hypopyon, and pigment diperion in the anterior chamber. Reult Ultraound biomicrocopy examination howed increaed iri thickne with rarefaction of tiue and irregular echogenicity a well a iri pigment epithelial detachment. A mall choroidal detachment wa alo detected. The anterior chamber and vitreou ample confirmed the LMIE diagnoi. Concluion The detection of both pigment epithelial detachment and change in the iri tiue could explain why black hypopyon frequently develop in LMIE with ignificant pigment diperion in ome cae.
