Hypertrichoi of vellu hair of the malar region after unilateral treatment with bimatoprot

Purpoe To report hypertrichoi and increaed pigmentation of vellu hair of the malar region aociated with topical bimatoprot uage. Deign Interventional cae report Method In a female Hipanic patient with open-angle glaucoma, hypertrichoi, and increaed pigmentation of the vellu hair of the malar region developed after 8 week of unilateral treatment with bimatoprot. Increaed growth of eyelahe wa alo noted. Reult Bimatoprot wa dicontinued, with the intention of monitoring for reolution of hypertrichoi. The patient epilated the hair becaue of poor cometic appearance. Two month after epilating the hair, growth did not recur. Concluion Increaed hair growth in the malar region can be an early ide effect of topical ue of ocular bimatoprot.
