Abstract
Purpoe
To clarify in which cae of blow-out fracture ocular motility will naturally recover.
Deign
A retropective review of obervational cae.
Method
Involved ocular motility range were meaured by the He creen tet at 15 or 30 degree in 23 nonurgical blow-out fracture patient without mucle entrapment or trong mechanical ocular retriction and in eight urgical patient with the above.
Reult
In nonurgical patient, the eye moved more than 10 or 20 degree repectively on a 15- or 30-degree He creen tet in the early period, wherea in the urgical patient, the eye did not. No nonurgical patient had eriou ocular motility diturbance; however, natural ocular motility recovery in many patient took more than 4 week.
Concluion
When an involved eye without mucle entrapment or trong mechanical retriction move more than 10 or 20 degree on each He chart, natural recovery can be expected.
