  • Abstract
    Purpoe To report a cae of familial exudative vitreoretinopathy with a retinal capillary angioma and peritent macular exudation treated with photodynamic therapy. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A 39-year-old woman with familial exudative vitreoretinopathy preented with an intraretinal capillary angioma temporally with peritent macular exudation depite previou vitrectomy and thermal laer. Photodynamic therapy to the retinal angioma wa performed. Reult Three month after photodynamic therapy, viion wa table at 20/200 with a reduction in leion ize on B-can ultraonography and no leakage on fluorecein angiography. With 10 month of follow-up there wa no recurrence of leakage. Concluion Retinal capillary angioma may be preent in aociation with familial exudative vitreoretinopathy, and photodynamic therapy may provide a good alternative treatment to decreae exudation.
