Abstract
Purpoe
To ae the interoberver variability of optical coherence tomography (OCT) meaurement in patient with macular edema.
Deign
Noninterventional cae erie uing a diagnotic intrument.
Method
Ordinary leat product analyi of OCT data obtained by two maked oberver from a et of 20 eye from 10 patient.
etting
Private retina practice.
Reult
Foveal zone thickne meaurement were operator dependent. Fixed and proportional bia wa found between the two oberver. Total macular volume meaurement were independent of oberver.
Concluion
Foveal zone thickne meaurement are not directly comparable acro different oberver, but total macular volume meaurement are directly comparable. Multicenter tudie involving OCT meaurement and clinical uer of OCT data will need to factor interoberver variability into concluion drawn from pooled OCT foveal zone thickne meaurement.
