Abstract :
Purpoe
To decribe a method that permit optical coherence tomography canning to be performed under general anetheia.
Deign
Obervational cae report.
Method
A 7-year-old child underwent optical coherence tomography canning under general anetheia. He wa poitioned prone, with the neck extended to enable vertical facial alignment on the canner. An anti-Trendelenburg trend on the operating table minimized the degree of neck extenion required. Intravenou fluid, modet ventilator airway preure, and compreion tocking were ued to minimize perioperative hemodynamic diturbance and the potential for orthotatic hypotenion aociated with the anti-Trendelenburg trend.
Reult
High-quality, diagnotically important optical coherence tomography can were obtained.
Concluion
With appropriate patient poitioning and anethetic management, optical coherence tomography canning can be performed on uncooperative adult and children under general anetheia.
