Method Photodynamic therapy with verteporfin wa performed. Viual acuity, local tumor control, and complication were aeed. Reult A 72-year-old woman wa diagnoed with bilateral, biopy-proven choroidal metatai from a pulmonary carcinoid tumor that wa reitant to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The tumor in the left eye caued a retinal detachment and viion lo to light perception. The maller leion in the right eye progreively enlarged toward the fovea depite therapy and wa treated with photodynamic therapy with verteporfin. Within 2 month, the exudative detachment reolved, the viual acuity returned to baeline, and the tumor volume decreaed by 50%.
