Abstract
Purpoe
To preent a cae of evere drop in viion in both eye caued by diabetic papillopathy that wa treated with an intravitreal injection of triamcinolone acetonide.
Deign
Interventional cae report.
Method
A diabetic patient with bilateral diabetic papillopathy and drop in viion received equential intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection to both eye.
Reult
Within 2 week of intravitreal injection, viion improved from counting finger at 1 m to 20/50 O, and from counting finger at 4 m to 20/40 OD. Thi improvement wa accompanied by reolution of dik welling and macular edema. Viion remained table in both eye at 20/40 for 8 month of follow-up. No elevation of intraocular preure beyond 21 mm Hg wa noted at any time.
Concluion
Diabetic papillopathy with evere drop in viion can be treated with intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection.
