Orbital cyticercoi-aociated cleral indentation preenting with peudo–retinal detachment

Purpoe To report a clinical picture imilar to retinal detachment caued by orbital myocyticercoi-aociated cleral indentation. Deign Interventional cae erie. Method Of the 49 cae of orbital myocyticercoi, four eye of four patient had peudoretinal detachment preentation that are detailed. Reult Of the four patient with peudoretinal detachment, three were found to have orbital myocyticerci in lateral and one in inferior recti mucle, mechanically indenting the eyeball, cauing cleral indentation, evidenced by ultraonography or computed tomography. Aociated ign of myocyticercoi were orbital inflammation, retricted ocular motility or proptoi. In 2 to 10 day, the cyt traveled forward and came to lie in a ub-Tenon poition. Three cyt were removed urgically and one extruded pontaneouly. Concluion Patient preenting with a clinical picture imilar to retinal detachment in the preence of ymptom and ign of orbital cyticercoi, with a hitory of expoure to an endemic area, hould be conidered to have orbital myocyticerci cauing cleral indentation.
