Meaurement of retinal thickne by ocular coherence tomography in a cae of cleral tranparency in high myopia

Purpoe taphylomatou thinning of the clera and retina are among the numerou change aociated with the elongated eye of high myopia. We report a cae of cleral and retinal tranparency in high myopia in which ocular coherence tomography wa ued to meaure retinal and cleral thickne in vivo. Deign Obervational cae report. Method The clinical preentation and evaluation of a cae of cleral tranparency in high myopia are preented. Reult Thi cae demontrate numerou anatomical change to the clera and retina known to occur in aociation with high myopia. Initial evaluation by optical coherence tomography demontrated a retinal thickne of 74 μm and a cleral thickne of 80 μm. Concluion Optical coherence tomography can be ued to meaure cleral and retinal thickne in vivo in a patient with high myopia. It i not known at thi time what precaution are neceary in uch a patient hould intraocular urgery be required
