Purpoe To oberve pregnancie expoed to latanoprot, a protaglandin analog adminitered in the treatment of glaucoma. It precription i limited in pregnancy, becaue reproduction tudie in animal report a high incidence of abortion and human invetigation are not adequate. A a conequence it i claified a category C drug according to the United tate Food and Drug Adminitrationʹ ue-in-pregnancy rating. Deign Obervational tudy. Method We collected data, referred to our Teratology Information ervice, relative to latanoprot expoure in pregnancy. We followed by phone interview women treated with latanoprot during the firt trimeter, and we evaluated whether there had been any advere effect on the fetu. Reult Eleven cae of latanoprot expoure in pregnancy were referred to our Teratology Information ervice. One cae wa lot to follow-up, and one cae wa complicated by micarriage. Nine cae had a complete follow-up without congenital anomalie. Concluion Our erie i too mall to perform tatitical ignificance; however, we found no evidence of advere effect of latanoprot on pregnancy or neonatal outcome.
