Abstract
Purpoe
To report a cae of primary intraocular lymphoma poeing bilaterally identical monoclonal rearrangement of the immunoglobulin heavy chain (IgH) gene.
Deign
Obervational cae report.
Method
A 78-year-old woman with bilateral vitriti, ubretinal infiltrate in the right eye, and no involvement of the central nervou ytem (CN) wa diagnoed hitologically with diffue large B-cell lymphoma by a tranvitreal ubretinal biopy of the right eye. One month later, vitrectomy wa performed on the left eye due to increaed vitreou opacity. DNA wa extracted from a vitrectomy pecimen from each eye, and the third complementarity-determining region of IgH gene wa analyzed by polymerae chain reaction and direct equencing.
Reult
Monoclonal rearrangement of IgH gene with identical DNA equence were detected in both eye.
Concluion
Bilaterally identical monoclonality wa detected in a cae of primary intraocular lymphoma with no CN involvement.
