Abstract :
Purpoe To ae the intraoberver variability of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in patient with clinically table macula. Deign Retropective, obervational cae erie uing a diagnotic intrument. Method Retropective tudy. etting. Private retina practice. patient population. Twenty-two eye of 19 patient, each tudied twice within 4 month. obervation procedure. Optical coherence tomograph meaurement of the macula obtained by two photographer. main outcome meaure. Ordinary leat product (OLP) and Bland-Altman analyi of OCT data. Reult No fixed or proportional bia wa detected in foveal zone thickne and total macular volume between meaurement of either of the OCT operator. The coefficient of repeatability for foveal zone thickne wa 37.0 μm for photographer 1 and 34.8 μm for photographer 2. The coefficient of repeatability for total macular volume wa 0.29 mm3 for photographer 1 and 0.10 mm3 for photographer 2. Concluion Foveal zone thickne and total macular volume meaurement how low intraoberver variability when analyzed by OLP and Bland-Altman technique. Bound are given for foveal zone thickne and total macular volume for which longitudinal OCT meaurement by the ame operator can be conidered to reflect natural hitory or intervention effect rather than intraoberver variability
