Abstract :
Purpoe
To preent the microbial pectrum and uceptibility of iolate in cleral buckle infection in India.
Deign
Retropective cae erie.
Method
eventy-three iolate from 55 eye with cleral buckle infection were tudied.
Reult
The iolate included 30 gram-poitive cocci (41.1%), 15 acid-fat bacilli (20.5%), 11 fungi (15.1%), 10 gram-poitive bacilli (13.7%), and 7 gram-negative bacilli (9.6%). Eighteen eye (32.7%) had polymicrobial infection. Gram-poitive, gram-negative, and acid-fat iolate were mot commonly uceptible to vancomycin (93%), ciprofloxacin (86%), and amikacin (80%), repectively.
Concluion
Thi large ingle-center tudy indicate the high prevalence of fungal, acid-fat organim and polymicrobial organim in buckle infection.
