econdary acute angle-cloure glaucoma aociated with vitreou hemorrhage after ruptured retinal arterial macroaneurym

Purpoe To report acute angle-cloure glaucoma in a patient with dene vitreou hemorrhage due to a ruptured retinal arterial macroaneurym. Deign Interventional cae report. Method A male patient preented with evere pain and decreaed viion in hi right eye, nauea, and vomiting. Viual acuity wa hand motion, intraocular preure wa 64 mm Hg, and light reflex wa not detected in the right eye. The patient underwent comprehenive ophthalmologic examination and appropriate medical and urgical management. Reult Examination of the right eye revealed a hallow anterior chamber and cloed angle; ultraound confirmed the preence of vitreou hemorrhage. After intenive medical treatment and ubequent par plana vitrectomy with laer treatment to the ruptured retinal macroaneurym, pain in the right eye ubided, viual acuity improved to 20/25, and intraocular preure decreaed to 20 mm Hg. Concluion We are unaware of previou clinical report of thi finding and could find no reference to it in a computerized earch utilizing MEDLINE. In our patient the preure tabilized and the viion improved after medical and urgical management.
